A Smart Grid Technology by ADVANIO is now presented to Taiwan Power Company
Taipei, March 6, 2018: The Taiwan Power Company was introduced to a new smart grid platform, a co-developed pilot project by ADVANIO, Elipse Software, Works Systems, and National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST). Taiwan Power Company Research Institute (TPRI) also contributed to the realization of this project by providing consulting and guidance. The event took place at the Taiwan Power Company’s headquarters, in Taipei.
Our Team is presenting the concept of Smart grid architecture and DER management system
Based on Industry 4.0 concepts, this technology runs in an XMPP server cloud and compiles IEC 61850-8-2 XMPP and IEC 61850-7-420 protocols for DER (Distributed Energy Resource) via a plug & play gateway. This gateway converts IEC 61850 -7-420 into IEC 61850-8-2 XMPP, which is the standard for DERs.
The new solution is built with PaaS, a platform developed by Works Systems for device management and data analytics, using a TR-069 agent, a communication protocol for telecommunication applications. Additionally, the technology employs CIM (Common Information Model), which can be extended to otherplatforms in smart grid domains, such as ADMS, SCADA, CBM, Demand Response, Microgrid, EMS, and MDMS.
