A high performance, planar apochromatic, long-working-distance objective lens for Mitutoyo’s infinity corrected measuring microscopes and microscope heads. Optimum transmission of this lens extends from the visible through the near-infrared region of the spectrum, making it suitable for YAG-laser applications such as cutting thin films and semiconductor-wafer repair. The long working distance provides excellent clearance between the lens and the workpiece surface, enabling observation of features that can be hard to view as well as providing increased cutting-debris clearance in laser work or between a prober station and lens. The apochromatic optical design provides a flat, chromatic-aberration-free image for true-colour viewing.
